Where Science Meets Soul. Healing Is Sacred.

Healing has never been just a profession for me. It has been deeply woven into my own life story.

Long before I became a Functional Medicine Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Biomedical Scientist and Women’s Health Clinician, I was a young woman searching for answers about my own health.

At just 19, during my first year of university, my health changed dramatically. Overwhelming fatigue progressed to severe joint pain, inflammation, weight loss and digestive symptoms, eventually leading to hospital admission and extensive investigations.

I knew something was wrong with my body, yet despite countless tests and specialist appointments, there was no clear explanation for why I had become so unwell.

That experience shaped one of the most important beliefs I carry into my work today:

Sometimes the absence of a diagnosis doesn’t mean nothing is wrong. It may simply mean we haven’t asked the right questions yet.

My health became my greatest teacher.

I began reading everything I could about nutrition, inflammation, the immune system, herbal medicine, hormones and the connection between the different systems of the body. What began as a search for my own answers eventually became a lifelong passion for understanding why illness develops.

My journey continued through years of debilitating pelvic pain, endometriosis, multiple surgeries and fertility challenges. Once again, I experienced what it was like to live with symptoms that could not be understood by looking at one part of the body in isolation.

Those experiences profoundly influenced the practitioner I would become.

I continued my education across biomedical science, nursing, women’s health, nutrition, herbal medicine and Functional Medicine, bringing together the worlds of conventional healthcare and root-cause medicine.

Science taught me to understand disease. Functional Medicine taught me to investigate the story behind it.

Why I Created Embrace

Embrace Functional Medicine was created from a simple belief: people deserve the time and space to understand what their body may be trying to communicate.

Too often, people arrive after being told their blood tests are normal, their symptoms are simply part of ageing, or that everything looks fine—yet they know they don't feel like themselves.

I understand that feeling because I have lived it.

That is why I don't begin by looking at a diagnosis in isolation. I look at the whole person.

Your hormones, gut health, thyroid function, metabolic health, inflammation, nutrition, sleep, stress, environment and life experiences can all form part of a much bigger picture.

My role is to listen to your story, connect the dots and help uncover the underlying factors that may be influencing your health.

Becoming the CEO of Your Own Health

My goal is not simply to hand you a protocol.

I want you to understand your body.

I want you to recognise what your symptoms may be communicating, understand the reasoning behind your care and feel confident making informed decisions about your health.

I call this becoming the CEO of your own health.

Because meaningful healthcare should not leave you feeling powerless. It should leave you feeling informed, supported and involved.

At Embrace, I combine evidence-based Functional Medicine with clinical nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle medicine to create care that is personalised to the individual in front of me.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach.

There is your history.
Your physiology.
Your environment.
Your story.

And it is both an honour and a privilege to be trusted with it.

Welcome to Embrace Functional Medicine.
